Ask for help from your GP online. It’s simple, secure, and quick.

Engage Consult

Ask for help online. It’s simple, secure, and quick. No need to wait in  the phone queue!

Your request will be dealt with exactly the same way as it would be if you were phoning into the Practice.

We will respond to in the same time scales as we would if you were phoning into the Practice.

Please look out for either a reply message in your Engage Consult account, a telephone call (ensure your phone has service), or a text message. It is your responsibility to attend the surgery if given an appointment.

We use the information you provide in your request to:

  • Give you access to assessment and treatment for urgent medical problems
  • Give you an appointment with a GP or other clinician for ongoing, more complex or specific problems
  • Give you advice and treatment online if it’s more straightforward
  • Direct you to a more appropriate service for your needs
  • Respond to your administrative queries

Please give us accurate information when you contact us. Please do not be tempted to exaggerate your symptoms thinking that this will secure you priority care – this simply causes confusion and may result in you being given inappropriate care and advice (for example being advised to attend A&E or call 999).

If you are a Parent or Carer and wish to ask on behalf of a child, relative or other patient, please read this first

You must have a legitimate right to consult on their behalf.

  1. Set up an Engage Consult account in your own name first (you do not need to be one of our patients).
  2. When you start a new Medical or Administrative Request for help, you will be asked if this request is about yourself. Select ‘No.’
  3. You will then be able to add the patient you wish to ask for help with to your account.
  4. Engage Consult will keep a list of patients you have added to your account so when you ask for help again in the future, you simply need to choose their name when asked.

You can add multiple patients (such as all of your children) to your account. Further information is available on from Engage Consult.

If it’s an emergency you should call 999 or go to A&E now.
